Illiana Christian High School

The educational program at Illiana Christian High School is designed to help give its students a well-rounded view of life. It aims to interpret all aspects of life in the light of the Holy Scriptures and the Reformed creeds. Illiana aims to graduate students with competence academically, but also aims to graduate young people who know, serve, and love God and their neighbor. All courses must be God-centered, meet the best educational standard, and be taught by a faculty committed to Christian instruction and scholarship.

Illiana offers a comprehensive Curriculum. However, the program is primarily college preparation. Most will have three to four years of Math and Science, two to three years of a foreign language, and a minimum of three years of Social Studies. We offer Honors/Accelerated classes in both Math and Science. Advanced Placement classes in Calculus and Chemistry are also offered. The average ACT composite for the class of '97 was 23.8 with 82% of the students participating. Approximately 75% of our graduates attend four year colleges, and 10%-15% attend two year colleges/trade schools. The average class size is 24, with a professional teacher-student ratio of 19-1. Over 90% of our staff have at least a Master's Degree, and the average amount of teaching experience is 20 years.

Illiana offers a variety of Extra-Curricluar activities and a full program of interscholastic sports for both boys and girls.
